Software for Tracking Stolen Phones, Laptops Put to the Test

If you lose your smartphone or laptop, or worse, it's stolen, how long does it take before panic sets in?  

There were a lot of people panicking last year.  We checked and found more than 5,000 reported thefts of personal electronic devices in Minneapolis and the largest suburbs.

Wright Co. Health Officials Warn of Whooping Cough

A whooping cough outbreak in Wright County has sickened 77 people since the start of the year, public health officials say.

Most of those people have been school aged children, according to the Wright County Human Services Agency, though adults and children as young as four months have also become ill.

Monticello Farmers' Market Begins This Week

Monticello's Farmers' Market opens for the season this Thursday.

The market is scheduled to be open Thursdays through the summer from 3:30 to 7:00 in the Monticello Public Library parking lot.

3,500 Local Hospital Workers Vote to Strike

About 3,500 members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Minnesota voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to strike.  After two days of voting, 91 percent supported the strike option.

If the union calls a 2-5 day strike it would affect:

-Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina
-Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis
